Eye Wear

Dr. Thompson offers the same quality and attention to detail in the lenses and frames, that he provides in his comprehensive eye exams. People are pleasantly surprised that our eye wear fees are competitive with chains with the bonus of receiving friendly service. We appreciate your business, and wish to attend to all of your vision care needs.

Frame and lens selection is very important to the satisfaction of your new glasses. Our staff will help you find the best pair of glasses to suit your individual tastes and lifestyle. We carry a varied selection with over 700 frames to choose from. Designer frames, infant and child frames, and the more traditional and mature frames are offered. We will match frames and lenses to give you optimal vision, comfort and appearance.

Lens technology has created an extensive assortment of materials to choose from including:

  • plastic
  • hi-index
  • polycarbonate (FeatherWates)
  • glass

Lenses also come in single vision, bifocal, trifocal, special thin hi index, aspheric, computer, and progressive (no line bifocal/trifocal) lenses.

Our office has an on site lab which allows us to give same day service. More complicated prescriptions which need to be custom ordered, usually take 1 to 5 days.

Coatings and tints are available that can be applied to the lenses. Anti-glare coatings can enhance your night driving and reduces computer glare. A variety of tints can be used for cosmetic purposes or to provide additional reduction of glare either indoors or outdoors. If you think you may benefit from one of these coatings or tints, please ask.

Often one pair of glasses cannot suit all of your needs. Some may require sports glasses, night driving glasses, while others may require a specific pair for their computer or reading. Be sure to mention any special needs or requirements you may have.

Tips to Protect Your Specs

Tips to Protect Your Specs

  1. When laying the glasses down, make sure the lenses are facing up

  2. Keep the eye glasses away from excessive heat. Do not place them on the dash of a hot car.

  3. In the unlikely event a screw comes loose, let our staff inspect the frame. We will apply Locktite to the threads and tighten the frame to ensure the screw does not back off.

  4. Clean the lenses with lens spray, lens cloth, or dish soap and warm water. Using a glass cleaner like Windex might harm the coatings.
